Snowbasin resort is to build a new detachable quad chair lift in time for the 2009-2010 season. The lift will replace the Little Cat chairlift with the new base terminal to be located above Earl’s Lodge, whilst the upper parking lot will host the upper terminal. The lift will be 1,578 feet in length with a vertical rise of 173.5 feet, and will carry up to 2,600 people per hour. It is hoped the lift will reduce crowding on the pistes.
