Vail Resorts to Make Lift Access Easier 13-04-08

Vail Resorts has announced it is to introduce a new system allowing skiers and boarders to use the lifts without having to take their pass out of their pockets. Next year?s season pass will contain a chip which can be scanned through a jacket by the radio frequency identification technology placed in the lift turnstile scanners.

The technology is to be implemented at each of Vail Resorts? five resorts: Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Heavenly, Keystone and Vail. The new system will make it much easier for long term visitors to the resort to navigate around the mountain without having to fumble around their pockets with gloves on.
