Vermont Resorts Enjoy Good Season 24-04-08

Vermont’s resorts have enjoyed an excellent season, with an estimated 4.1 million people visiting the state’s 19 ski resorts. The numbers for the entire season won’t be tallied until June, though they will undoubtedly be higher than last season, which saw 3.8 million skier visits – a 7 per cent decrease on the previous year.

The Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow has recorded a 25 per cent increase in visitor levels and a 30 per cent increase in season pass sales. Vermont’s best ever season is still the 1986-87 season, which saw a total of 5.2 million people visit the resort.
