Ischgl / Accommodation

The village decided at an early stage of its development as a ski
resort to aim for the upper end of the market. Ischgl now has no less
than 33 four-star hotels, plus the five-star Trofana Royal, one of
Austria's top hotels and eight three-star establishments.
Even among the bed and breakfast hotel category, hotels garni, there are 77 boasting three or four stars.
One of the most popular four-star hotels is the excellent Post, near the centre, and the Madlein attracts a lot of attention because of its minimalist rooms and Zen themes. The Hotel Elisabeth is right by the Pardatschgratbahn and Fimbabahn, while the Solaria nearby has traditional luxury. The Jagerhof and the Brigitte are both highly recommended.
There are a handful of holiday apartments for rent, with the Golfais near the Pardatschgratbahn particularly good, but Ischgl looks chiefly to its hotels to provide accommodation, in traditional Austrian style.
The accent is on luxury accommodation and the resort unashamedly targets the affluent. Although it is not uncommon to see a German number-plated people carrier unloading cargoes of families, Ischgl is not primarily a family resort. Of course, children are welcomed and looked after superbly, but the main target is adults, and it tailors its accommodation and other attractions to that end.
