There's a big range available, with a total capacity of 44,000 beds, of which 2,227 are in hotels, almost 10,000 are in apartments and tourist residences and over 30,000 are in holiday homes.Though much of Megève's marketing revolves around the luxury market there are good mid-range options too. The English speaking market is most comprehensively catered for by Stanford Skiing who offer chalet-hotels, a luxury chalet and high-end self-catered accommodation as well as working with other hotels in resort.
Les Fermes de Marie – a farm hamlet transformed into a luxury hotel with unbeatable style and ambience – is one of the finest of a good choice of four star hotels. The stone and wood chalet theme runs through many of the other hotels, including the three star Au Coin du Feu and Grange d’Arly.
Luxury chalets are a Megève speciality. Le Hameau de Mavarin and La Reine des Prés are great examples; the Chalet Saint Phillipe is in a hamlet with three other, almost equally over-the-top chalets. The Chalet des Sens is in the middle of town, offering epic facilities, including a pool and spa. It's hard to imagine ever wanting to leave the place once you're installed.
