St Moritz / Accommodation

For history, it’s hard to beat the Hotel Kulm, started by Johannes Badrutt in 1855. He went on to become one of the country’s leading hotel pioneers, bringing developments such as electric light to Switzerland on Christmas eve 1878, in the dining room of the Kulm Hotel. The Kulm is also the location for the St Moritz Tobogganing Club’s meetings and non sledging events. The enormous Suvretta is another of the town’s grand hotels which even has it's own connection to the Corviglia ski area. More relaxed is the four star Schweizerhof, with good food and service and a central Dorf location.
St Moritz Bad accommodation
The refurbished Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains in Bad is five star, with casino. The other Bad hotels are much lower key but still high quality. The Laudinella has spacious, stylish modern interiors with several restaurants and a very relaxed communal area for afternoon tea. It’s popular with Italians, for whom St. Moritz is easier to reach than for almost anyone else.
Alongside its 5,600 beds in 44 hotels, St. Moritz also has 3,500 beds in rented apartments.
