Heavenly

Incredible views of North America's largest mountain lake, 24-hour nightlife, the abundant snowfall and sunshine: few ski resorts match Heavenly's expansive network of lifts, terrain and trails. Heavenly ski resort features Lake Tahoe's highest elevation, longest vertical drop and largest snowmaking system.

Nestling in the southeastern corner of Lake Tahoe, on the border with Nevada and the sunshine state of California, Heavenly is appropriately named as it enjoys around 300 days of sun each year, not to mention 360 inches (914 cm) of snowfall. Heavenly is located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe in California and Stateline in Nevada.

Heavenly is the only major resort on the shore of Lake Tahoe itself. Lake Tahoe has an interchangeable pass system for Heavenly, Alpine Meadows, Kirkwood, Northstar at Tahoe, Sierra at Tahoe and Squaw Valley. Heavenly was bought by Vail Resorts in May 2002 and is also now a sister resort to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone, all in Colorado. Over the next five years, Vail Resorts plan to invest US$40 million in upgrading mountain facilities.

Heavenly is within walking distance of more than 5,000 lodging rooms and just minutes from star-studded nightlife, first-class restaurants and endless activities. If you don’t like glitzy casinos, then it’s probably not the place for you.

The ski season here starts in late October or early November and ends in early May. Peak season is from the end of December to mid-February, and low season November through mid-December and April.
