For the 2002/03
season terrain park improvements include: 25 new rails and box
features, totaling 30 jibs, doubling the number of hits/jumps, a
state-of-the-art sound system; two new halfpipes including a Superpipe
and a beginner’s pipe; a lighting system for night operation until 9:00
pm; and increased park size to 18 acres (7 ha). Smokie’s Smokehouse is the prime viewing spot for the
terrain park. On the rest of the mountain, boarders need to be aware of
flat spots on green trails, but otherwise the entire mountain is a
snowboarder’s dream.
