The Canyons

The Canyons is best suited for the skier who likes to ski the natural mountain.
The trails are not so wide and void of trees that you forget that you are in the mountain, and there is a good variety of black and blue trails. The green trails are mostly located mid-mountain and provide a 7-acre (3 ha) learning area designated for first-time skiers and boarders. The Canyons also offers a backcountry feel, with several areas that are accessible by hiking only. No lifts are available to these areas and fresh powder is the payoff for the modest hike. In all there are 118 trails comprising 22 double black diamonds, 36 black diamonds, 9 double blues, 42 blues and 9 greens. The Canyons is acknowledged as a leader in the terrain park world, with six natural halfpipes and a dedicated terrain park.
