Bad Kleinkirchheim Ski Schools & GuidingUnusually for an Austrian resort, most of which are still wary of too much competition among ski schools, Bad Kleinkirchheim has four snow sport schools.

Bad Kleinkirchheim Ski Schools
Three ski schools are based in Bad Kleinkirchheim, the Ski School Krainer, Ski School Wulschnig and Ski School Brunner, plus the Krainer-Wulschnig School in St Oswald. There is close cooperation between the schools.
The resort has also introduced an interesting Style Check service, where slopeside instructors, for five euros, will give an instant assessment of your skiing or boarding and come up with a ‘top tip’ to send you on your way with renewed confidence!
Teaching here seems to be open-minded, progressive and innovative, with a wealth of different themed ski and boarding courses to meet all aspirations. They do not stick to the rigid formula of six-day courses, with trial days, and two, three and four to six day arrangements all available.
Similarly, private lessons are bookable from one-hour to a whole day or any half-hourly combination. And Nordic and snowshoeing lessons are offered too. Off-piste guiding for individuals or groups is offered, depending on snow conditions. These should be booked well in advance, especially during busy weeks.
All the ski schools make a speciality of teaching and looking after children, with ski kindergartens where youngsters can be looked after all day, given lunch, and enjoy a mixture of skiing and indoor activities. The First Steps takes youngsters from two and a half. There is also a non-skiing kindergarten which takes children from two upwards at the base of the gondola from Bad Kleinkirchheim.
