Getting to Camelback

Getting to Camelback

Camelback is one of the most popular Pocono day ski trips in part due to its easy access from Philadelphia and New York.

Camelback is conveniently located in the Pocono Mountains directly off Interstate 80 Exit 299. The ski area is only 3 miles from the exit.

In light of the fact that the drive from either New York City or Philadelphia is almost entirely on four-lane divided highway, 4WD is not generally needed. I-80 is a major cross-country throroughfare and is well maintained even in snowy conditions. The drive from Exit 299 to Camelback does not contain any severe upgrades.
