The names of the ski resorts in Haute Savoie roll off the tongue with the familiar ease of the names of old school friends. And, of course, Haute Savoie is home to the world class skiing in the Portes de Soleil.
One of the huge attractions of skiing in Haute Savoie is the proximity of the resorts to Geneva airport. The nearest resorts of La Clusaz and Flaine are little more than an hours transfer. Not dissimilar to a daily commute to work across London. The temptation is to start putting the ski boots on during final approach.
