Owned by the State of West Virginia, Canaan Valley Ski Resort offers an 850′ and has lodging available just off site at the Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center

Timberline Four Seasons Resort

Located just up the street from state-owned Canaan Valley Ski Resort, Timberline has some of the region’s best expert and tree skiing. A 1,000′ vertical drop and 190″ of annual snowfal combine to make Timberline’s skiing some of the best south of the Mason Dixon line.

Whitegrass Touring Center

Located on the site of a former alpine ski area, White Grass is a unique backcountry/alpine touring and cross country ski area.

Snowshoe Mountain

West Virginia’s most famous (and largest) ski resort, Snowshoe Mountain boasts a summit elevation over 4,800′. Uniquely, Snowshoe’s modern and vibrant village sits atop this high summit affording long views of the surrounding Allegheny Mountains. Two of its runs on the famous Western Territory fall 1,500′ – by far the longest in the Mid-Atlantic region.
