Ski instructors and guides are available to help skiers and riders from beginner to alpine professional level. Full-day and half-day courses for children, group courses for adult skiers and boarders, private lessons, freeriding courses and guided ski touring with tuition available. Whether in private lessons or as a member of a group, the emphasis is to get you skiing or boarding safely, confidently and quickly.

Privat Ski School Heiligenblut

Ambros Unterkircher, a state-qualified ski instructor and mountain guide, and his team of highly trained local ski instructors offer individually tailored private ski lessons for adults and children from beginner to expert level. The Privat Skischool Heiligenbut also offers expert tuition in freeriding, deep-snow skiing and guiding off-piste. A backpack, avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe are also provided.

Ski Kindergarten in Heiligenblut

Snowland Club and Bobo Kid’s Club provide excellent childcare and ski lessons for children, allowing parents to explore the ski area while their little ones are having fun or catered for in children’s ski school.

Grossglockner Mountain Guides

Founded in 1870 the Grossglockner Mountain Guides Association in Heiligenblut is among the oldest guiding companies in the Alps. Busy in summer and winter the highly experienced association of nearly 20 mountain guides offers a wide range of classic ski tours, such as the Brennkogel and Hohe Sonnblick which can be reached with the aid of the lift system in just a few hours.

Guided Ski Touring

Day ski tours include fantastic backcountry views of the Grossglockner (3798m) and other 3,000m high peaks ending with long off-piste descents back to the valley. Equipment is available for hire locally as required. Maximum group size 6 persons from mid-December to mid-April.

Guided Freeriding

With high alpine terrain almost entirely above the treeline and numerous runs starting from nearly 3000m Heiligenblut am Großglockner is the largest freeriding arena in the Southern Alps and offers ideal conditions for freeriding. Whether you are a telemark skier, Alpine skier or snowboarder, the Grossglockner Guides will lead you safely to the best routes and the best descents at the right time, using the lift system where needed without long waiting times. Freeride guiding is available for groups of 4 persons from mid-December to mid-April with additional safety training and technical instruction off-piste if booking for more than one day.
