Rifugio Ospitale is a comfortable small hotel just outside of Cortina d’Ampezzo. It is very special indeed with a history connected to the adjacent church of Ospitale, the oldest in Cortina, dating back to the 13th century. Now a Michelin listed restaurant offering very comfortable and spacious accommodation in a most beautiful setting.
This lovely old alpine property in its picturesque mountain setting is a about ten minutes drive from the centre of Cortina. The rooms come ensuite and are designed with a light wood finishes. They feature a TV, ample sitting space, hairdryer, toiletries and some have a balcony with good views of the countryside.
The hotel’s restaurant serves regional dishes as well as Italian classics. The food is served to a very high standard that has been recognised by the Michelin guide. During the Summer guests can choose to dine out on the garden terrace. An extensive continental breakfast buffet is served each morning, including fresh fruit and hot drinks.
The hotel provides free Wi-Fi, ski storage and parking space. Many activities such as snowshoeing, hiking and heli-skiing can be enjoyed through nearby companies. During the Summer there are many popular mountain biking tracks.
