Kitzbuhel Ski Lifts
Kitzbühel (KitzSki) has made significant progress over the past 20 years upgrading a previously ageing lift system. The 3S (tricable) Saukaser Valley gondola connecting Hahnenkamm / Pengelstein with Jochberg in 2004 was a gigantic stride forward. Further significant investment across the lift network includes the Panoramabahn Kitzbüheler Alpen I & II 8-person gondolas (2005) adding faster, higher-capacity access to the Panorama area, the Maierlbahn 10-person gondola (2010), and the Bernkogelbahn gondola (2011).
Also, the 8-person Steinbergkogel chairlift, the Pininfarina design Jufen 8-person chairlift (2017/18) and Gauxjoch & Trattenbach new 6-seater chairlifts (2023/24) to replace older chair lifts and raise capacity, and upgrading the Fleckalmbahn lift (2019/20), primarily to reduce energy consumption. Other lift system improvements include continuing modernisation of chairlifts and gondolas (heated seats, bubble covers and larger cabins) have increased comfort and capacity, and reduced lift lines.
