Les Arcs Ski Schools & Guiding
Les Arcs is famous as a resort to learn to ski in but there are also lessons for intermediate and advanced skiers who want to improve, and plenty of off-piste mountain guides for freeriders. Unless off-piste skiers have completed an environmental awareness course, they must be accompanied by a mountain guide if skiing off the back of the Aiguille Rouge.

Les Arcs Ski Schools, Ski Instructors and Off-Piste Mountain Guides
The Les Arcs ESF pioneered the use of short skis to teach carving turns and are generally regarded to be forward-thinking but are still prone to large class sizes (to the immense irritation of recreational skiers trying to get round them as they ski down the piste in great crocodiles). They have bases throughout the resort apart from Arc 1950, whose Spirit 1950 pride themselves on small class sizes and teaching children in a safe environment. Other alternatives include the British ski school New Generation and Arc Adventures, part of the international ski school. All these also have ski guides.
