Courmayeur Ski Schools
Both of the ski and snowboard schools in Courmayeur have booking offices in the town centre as well as at Plan Checrouit and Pre de Pascal. Group ski and board lessons are generally held in the mornings and may last between 2-3 hours, depending on the season. Lessons run from Monday to Friday inclusive. Prices for private ski lessons vary with the time of day, as well as the season. Cross-country ski lessons can be arranged at the booking office close to the pistes in Val Ferret
The Ski School Monte Bianco Courmayeur (Scuola Sci Monte Bianco), one of the oldest and most prestigious in Italy, was founded in 1936. It is a large ski school which offers excellent instruction, a wide range of courses and professional service. Special courses and facilities are available for children, including the Mammola small group ski lessons which are specifically designed for children aged 3 and 4 years, and the non-skiing Biancaneve Miniclub for 0 to 10 year-olds.
The Ski & Snowboard School Courmayeur (Scuola Sci Courmayeur) is the ‘new’ Courmayeur ski school and appeals to the younger crowd, particularly for snowboarding.

Courmayeur’s mountain guides belong to a separate organisation, the Societa delle Guide Alpine di Courmayeur, a thriving, professional outfit that offers individual guiding and group tours of the main off-piste itineraries. Off-piste, freeride and heli ski excursions can all be organised and it is essential to use the guides when exploring the many off-piste itineraries, which include the Vallèe Blanche descent to Chamonix, and the Toula glacier.
