Hotels & Guesthouses in Mürren
The 4-star Hotel Eiger (the ‘Eiger Mürren Swiss Quality Hotel’) is a famous Mürren institution which has been run by the same family since the 19th century. It’s conveniently located behind the train station and has a spa, and a heated indoor pool but it’s still mostly famous for the views from its terraces. Its bar is a popular apres-ski hangout.
All of Mürren’s 3-star hotels are highly rated by previous customers. Currently, the one with the highest ratings is the aptly named Hotel Bellevue, in the centre of Mürren next to the funicular which has a good restaurant. It’s closely followed by the Blumental Hotel and the Alpenrue Hotel which both look like large chalets. The 3-star Hotel Edelweiss Superior is in the same chasing pack and has perhaps the most stunning position of all, perched on the cliff face, guaranteeing good views and a short 3-minute walk to the train station. The Hotel Jungfrau is also well regarded: it borders the slopes next to the ski school and has a popular restaurant.
Murren is also famous for the quality of its budget hotels and guesthouses. In this ‘simple, inexpensive but good’ category we would place the 2-star Hotel Alpenblick (about a 2 min walk from the BLM station), the 2-star Eiger Guesthouse, and the cosy Hotel Alpina which does not have any stars but is very highly rated by its customers. The Hotel Regina, in its striking Art Nouveau building and The SportChalet Murren (sited within 300m of the slopes) are two other budget hotels/guesthouses without any formal stars but which are liked by their customers.

Self-catering Apartments and Chalets in the Murren
There are dozens of self-catering apartments in Murren. Use the accommodation finder link below to see a full range and read about their facilities and what previous guests have said about them but the following seem to regularly attract high ratings: Chalet Anemone (4-star); Alte Bäckerei (4-star); Chalet Bim Chilchli (3-star) Apartment Trollhütte (2 stars) and the Ferienwohnung Edelweiss (no stars).
