Also known as “the young ski school in Engelberg”, Prime Mountain Sports has a team of over 40 qualified ski and snowboard instructors providing group courses and private tuition for children and adults. Group courses for children (aged 4 years and above) are held Monday to Friday and on weekends in the mornings. Afternoon courses are available on request. They also offer one-hour fast-track lessons on a one-to-one basis to give children (aged 3-5 years) an easy, safe and efficient first experience on snow. Confidence-building lessons are offered for children aged 6-16 years, and ‘New School’ instruction for advanced skiers aged 10+ years is mainly focused on freeriding, which is also available to beginners with the ‘Variable Terrain’ course. The snowpark in Engelberg is not large enough for advanced freestyle lessons. All groups (adults and children) meet at the Titlis bottom station in front of Intersport Titlis Rent. Parents should consider alternative plans for child supervision outside lesson times.
Prime Mountain Sports offers private lesson options ranging from 2 to 6 hours per day or full-day exclusive packages (including pickup from your hotel, après-ski activities, and dinner). They also offer fast-track private lessons for children (age 3-5 years) in groups of 1-4 children at family rates. Active Snow Team Engelberg
A relatively new and, therefore, smaller ski school, Active Snow Team’s ski and snowboard instructors offer instruction in German, French, English and Dutch for every age and ability level, as well as special needs.
The Active Snow Team’s USP includes a strong focus on ski lessons for children, families, and older skiers who may still be fearful and lacking in confidence, as well as technique. Their unique 1=3 concept is to charge one price, so three people can enjoy the same lesson for the price of one, including private lessons (1-7 hours) in skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing, as well as family packages (maximum of two adults and four children) and specialist packages. Lessons in carving (on empty slopes early in the morning), mogul techniques and off-piste are also available.

Swiss Ski School Engelberg
The Swiss Ski School is the largest in Engelberg, with up to 150 qualified ski and snowboard instructors. Group lessons are available for children, teenagers, adults, and individuals of all skill levels and abilities. Also, ski kindergarten fun and games in the snow for toddlers aged 2-4 years.
Additionally, private lessons in skiing, telemark skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding are available for up to 3 hours in the morning or afternoon, or for a full day (5 to 7 hours of tuition). Also offered are off-piste, ski-touring, and technical ski courses for experienced skiers.
Group lessons for children aged 3-5 years (morning only or full day) are available from Monday to Friday. Snowboarding lessons for children aged 6 years and above are available from Monday to Wednesday. Morning-only lessons for children aged 3-4 run from 9:45 to 11:45. Full-day lessons for children aged 4-5 run from 9:45 to 11:45 and 12:45 to 14:45, including supervised lunch, and starting at Klostermatte.
The “teenager” ski group category is for children aged 6 to 15. Teenage ski group lessons are available Monday through Friday from 9:25 to 11:25 and 12:15 to 14:15, and Adult ski group lessons are for 3 hours per day, between 10:00 and 13:00, meeting at 9:05 am and 9:40 am, respectively, at the Titlis lift bottom station.
Swiss Ski School office opening hours are 08:00 to 17:00 in high season, 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00 in low season.
