The Fox Hotel & Suites was newly built in 2007. This 4-star hotel offers unique accommodation that takes guests back to the heritage of Banff National Park. The hotel is located on Banff Avenue, just a short walk from the shops and restaurants in downtown Banff.
The Fox Hotel & Suites’ architectural design features local rundle rock and four independent buildings connected by walkways around an outdoor courtyard, with views of the grotto-style hot pool. As you enter the lobby of the Fox Hotel & Suites, you’ll be captivated by its interior design, rich wood décor, birch trees, and a tranquil waterfall, all embraced by Rundle rock.
The idea of this property is to bring the natural elements of Banff National Park into your stay. The outdoor grotto-style hot pool is inspired by the original Cave and Basin National Historic Site of Canada – the site of natural geothermally heated mineral springs around which Canada’s first national park, Banff National Park, was established.
The Fox Hotel & Suites offers a unique accommodation style in Banff, with guest rooms featuring “lock-offs” that allow bedrooms and suites to be joined to create larger units. There are also two-bedroom suites, each with its own bathroom, which are ideal for families or larger groups.
The Fox theme continues throughout the guest rooms, with wrought-iron fox light fixtures, LCD televisions, and MP3-compatible alarm clocks, all accented with dark and light wood furniture and plaid-printed duvet covers. Historic photographs and heritage prints are displayed on guestroom walls, archived from the local Whyte Museum Foundation. Every suite has its own micro-kitchen, which comes complete with a countertop and sink, small fridge, microwave, toaster, and table settings.
The Fox Hotel & Suites also has Premier Loft Suites – A great upgrade for those looking for more space – with king-size mountain luxury beds in the upstairs loft bedrooms with a full bathroom, accompanied by a lower-level living room with a gas-burning fireplace and pull-out double-size sofa bed, as well as a complete micro kitchen and private balcony.
Chilli’s Restaurant onsite at the Fox Hotel & Suites is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a wide variety of entrees and tasty appetisers with warm dining décor and a fun yet casual margarita lounge. Quite possibly North America’s nicest Chilli’s offering great food choices, including classics like Baby Back Ribs and Big Mouth Burgers.
Other facilities at the Fox Hotel & Suites include an on-site laundry, on-site massage therapy by appointment and a temperature-controlled fitness room with a 42″ LCD television.
