Banff Lake Louise Accommodation

Banff, a cosy town rather than a ski resort, offers a huge variety of accommodation and attractions. It’s also the liveliest place to stay with lots of bars, restaurants, night clubs, shopping, a cinema, museums and a health centre. Definitely the best place in Banff Lake Louise for non-skiers and no matter which hotel or lodgings you choose, within a few minutes you can walk into the centre of town. For high end 4-star accommodation in Banff try the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel or the Fox Hotel and Suites – both are 10 minutes walk or free shuttle bus ride from the centre of Banff Town – or the Buffalo Mountain Lodge, slopeside on Tunnel Mountain, which is a short drive from Banff. Less costly 3-star options include the Inns in Banff, the Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa, the Douglas Fir Resort and the reasonably priced Brewsters Mountain Lodge in the centre of Banff Town. There are plenty of other lodgings options including B&Bs, motels, and lodges to suit all pockets in Banff town. There’s even a winter camping site offering tent and trailer lodging.

Sunshine’s only accommodation is the on-mountain, ski-in, ski-out Sunshine Mountain Lodge, so you can literally fall out of bed and be on a chairlift in minutes, but there’s little to do apart from skiing and snowsports, as after the last gondola there is no way of getting back up to your hotel.
The Sunshine Mountain Lodge, the only hotel in Sunshine Village, can only be reached by riding the gondola at the base of Goats Eye Moutain. On arrival you can ski straight off from the doorstep and inside the Lodge offers casual and fine dining plus the mountain’s largest outside hot tub, spa services and family friendly activities.
