Ski Rental

Meiringen has five snowsports shops offering a wide range of snowsports equipment for purchase or rental; two in the centre of Meiringen, another two at Hasliberg and a fifth shop on the mountain in the gondola station at Bidmi.

Pollus Sport on Rudenz is en route to the cable car. It’s just an ordinary ski shop from the outside, but there’s an Aladdin’s cave full of snowsports equipment downstairs in the basement including their own-brand Pollux skis and a wide range of climbing equipment.

Glatthard Sport, at the other end of town, may be more convenient if you are staying close to the railway station and offers a similarly good range of winter sports hardware including alpine, telemark and touring skis, ski boots, avalanche safety equipment and plenty of experience to back it up – second generation owner Matthias climbed 48 of Switzerland’s 4,000m peaks in 36 days!

If you’re staying in one of Hasliberg villages, Fahner Sport have ski rental shops at the lower gondola station in Wasserwendi and another at the middle gondola station at Bidmi. Glatthard Sport also own and operate the Stockli Test Centre, just a stone’s throw from the gondola station at Reuti, and a ski and snowboard service depot on mountain at Mägisalp.
