Park City Accommodation
Most of Park City’s accommodation is in condominiums, although there are three hotels at the resort and many more in Park City itself. Canyons village has a wider range of accommodation options.
Accommodation at Park City is mostly in condominiums, with good value packages through Mountain Reservations, which include continental breakfast and a daily Lift Pass. Canyons offers a wider variety of options from the Grand Summit, owned by Rock Resorts, which has just undergone a $15 million refurbishment of all 212 suites, with heated outdoor pool, full spa, and gourmet dining, to luxury condo units at Silverado Lodge, Escala Lodge and Waldorf Astoria.
The Lodge at Mountain Village is the only full service resort with ski in, ski out access in Park City, but Shadow Ridge is close to downtown with 52 individually designed rooms , sauna, indoor hot tub, fitness centre and 24 hour front desk and concierge. Peaks Hotel is popular for those reluctant to self cater, and also offers guided day tours of the ski area, while the Waldorf Astoria offers everyone their dream of being an Olympian with accompanied tours of the 2002 Olympic sites, followed by a gourmet dining experience with their athlete at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant, Powder.
The Newpark Hotel at Kimball Junction (1476 Newpark Boulevard) off I-80 will suit the independent traveller with a car. Situated opposite the turn off to the Factory Outlets for designer shopping and the ski area, it is close to excellent Ghidotti’s Italian restaurant.
