Chamonix Ski Schools and Instructors
Ecole de Ski Français (ESF), France’s biggest ski school company, has the biggest presence with four ski schools and five offices throughout the Chamonix valley. Evolution 2 Chamonix run a very tight ship and has its own private nursery lift at La Vormaine; they drive beginners from Chamonix town to Le Tour as soon as they are ready to leave the nursery slopes.
Ski Factory is run by local instructor Loic Parisot who offers ski lessons in French, English, Italian and German for all levels and ages from three years old and up. Ski Factory assess your technical ability then customise a programme to enable you to fix bad habits, reach your optimum goals and finish each ski day with a great sense of achievement.
Stephane Lagarde’s Ecorider Ski School, has strong green credentials having taken a pioneering stance with eco friendly measures to reduce the impact of its activity on the environment including ski instructors uniforms made from eco-friendly recycled textiles, using less polluting forms of transport and waxing skis with petrol-free materials.

Chamonix Off-Piste Mountain Guides
Chamonix’s off-piste terrain is a mecca for experts, but no matter how good a skier or boarder you are it’s worth hiring a guide to keep you safe off-piste and especially on the glaciers.
The Compagnie des Guides, established in 1821 is the oldest and largest mountain guiding association in the world with a total of 240 self-employed mountain guides including some of the best in the business.

Run by British guide Nick Parks, Mountain Tracks team of dedicated mountain guides specialize in all forms of mountain guiding in Chamonix and worldwide, in winter and in summer.
