Verbier features some of the finest and most luxurious chalets in the Alps and is an ideal place for a ski chalet holiday. There’s also a dozen or more hotels and around 100 self-catering apartments. In general, the further out you stay, the less expensive it gets, but there are some relatively modest 3 star hotels within walking distance of the main lifts.
There are hundreds of chalets in Verbier. Alpine Answers sells holidays in more than 50 of them – you can search their chalets here.
Most (but not all) of the Alpine Answers chalets are catered. If your party is interested in renting a chalet without catering, you should also search using the link at the bottom of the page.
Verbier Hotels and Self-Catered Apartments
Of Verbier’s hotels, the W Verbier next to the cable car and Chalet d’Adrien by the Savoleyres lift, both 5-star, are the plushest in town, and come with swimming pools and spas. Le Chalet de Flore is a 4-star hotel in the centre of Verbier, within a hundred metres of the Médran Cable Car. La Cordée des Alpes is further out but has its own shuttle bus as well as being within 50 metres of the skibus stop. The Experimental Chalet is a very trendy 4-star hotel linked to the famous/infamous Farm Club nightclub. Hotel Vanessa is a more conventional 4 star, but is very central. For people coming from the UK, Inghams provides good value week long package holidays to Hotel Vanessa including flights and transfers – see further details here.
Centrally located 3 star hotels include Hotel Bristol , Hotel Mirabeau, Hotel Les Chamois and the aptly named, adults-only Hotel Central. Another 3-star, Hotel Montpelier is a little further out but still within 10 minutes walk of the lifts and village centre, and there are other 3 star hotels further away than this – use the accommodation finder below to find the most highly rated.
There is no 2 star hotel in central Verbier but the Hotel Restaurant Le Giétroz down the mountain in Le Châble is within 200 yards of the lift up to Verbier, and as this lift carries on up into the ski area, it’s a good location for keen skiers on a tight budget.
There are about 100 self catering apartments in Verbier. Most of the smarter ones are now graded by stars like hotels so Residence Bastide (about 500m from the Le Rouge and Medran lifts) is 5 stars, and La Cordée des Alpes Appartements (about 1km from the Medran lift) is 4 stars, and so on down to 1 star or unrated apartments. More importantly we advise people to use the link below not only to search for apartments (you can filter by star ratings if required) but also to read recent guest reviews.
And if you can not find what you want remember Nendaz shares the same ski area as Verbier and tends to be cheaper.
