Recommended Luxury Hotels

Au Coeur du Village (5-star) is a contemporary 5-star hotel near the centre of the resort and close to the lifts and pistes that always gets fabulous reviews. The onsite restaurant is one of the best in La Clusaz. Chalet Inarpa & Resort (5-star Chalet Hotel) is located near the La Balme lift, slightly out of town, but with the quickest access to the highest slopes and in good snow conditions you can almost ski to the door. The hotel offers a free taxi service to take guests into the village centre. Hôtel Beauregard (4-star) is near the centre of the villages and very close to the lifts and pistes. It has an indoor pool, sauna and spa. Le Vieux Chalet (4-star) is a picturesque hotel in a mountainside setting near the top of the village, and very close to the pistes.

Recommended Mid Range (3-star) hotels

Hotel Alpen Roc (3-star) has many of the facilities of a 4-star hotel, like an indoor swimming pool and sauna, but offers very good value half-board packages which include all you can eat breakfasts and wine and beer at dinner in its buffet restaurant. Located on a hillside with good views over the town (see main photo), the hotel is about a 10 minutes walk from the Patinoire and Beauregard lifts, so you might want to keep ski boots and skis in a central ski shire shop with storage. Chalet Alpage (3-star) is a ski-in, ski-out hotel in the outlying hamlet of Les Prises (about 2 miles from the La Clusaz) and at the bottom of the Laquais lift and piste. Hotel Les Sapins (3-star) is also ski-in and ski-out in good snow conditions but also within easy walking distance of the village centre. Chalet-Hôtel Du Borderan (3-star) is another ski-in ski-out hotel located out of town near the Combe de Juments lift. Hotel Christiania (3-star) is also popular.

Recommended budget (2-star) hotels

La Ferme is a ski-in/ski-out 2 star hotel which is also a very good mountain restaurant. Located just above the town on the Coeur du Village blue piste the hotel is reachable by road or by skiing down the piste. The twin and double rooms rooms are small and cosy but the views are fabulous and the restaurant has a good range of Savoyard dishes. Hotel U’fredy (2-star) is a simple ski-in and ski-out hotel near the Combe de Juments and is highly rated by guests. Hotel Beaulieu (2-star), and Hotel La Montagne (2-star) are also popular.
