Madonna di Campiglio Accommodation
The choice of accommodation in Madonna di Campiglio reflects the typical visitor – Italian families on long weekends or taking their ‘white weeks’ – staying in a mix of 3-star and 4-star hotels and upmarket apartments in ‘Residences’. But there are some chalets too, some luxury hotels and some much simpler self-catered apartments .
Where to stay in Madonna di Campiglio
The central hotels are most useful for the evening passegiatta, when Italians stroll, window shop and check each other out. They are also within about five minutes of two of the main lifts, to Pradalago and Cinque Laghi. Just out of town to the north, Campo Carlo Magno has some good lodgings and makes a useful base for beginners, right next to the main nursery slopes. Folgarida, Marilleva & Pinzolo are also all lift-linked to Madonna.

Recommended Luxury Hotels in Madonna di Campiglio
Alpen Suite Hotel (5-star) is about 400m from the Cinque Laghi lift (but with a free shuttle bus service for guests who don’t want to walk) and about the same distance from the Piazza Righi in the centre of town. It has all the luxuries you would expect from a 5-star hotel: pool, wellness centre, several gourmet restaurants etc. The Hotel Chalet Del Sogno (5-star) has similar facilities and high guest ratings but is effectively ski-in, ski-out as it is about 25m the Express Spinale ski lift. The 4-star Hotel Lorenzetti is 200 yards from the Colarin cable car, and has great views from its sun terrace. It has a pool and sauna and very high guest satisfaction ratings. The 4-star Crozzon is nearer the centre of the resort and has a free shuttle service to the lifts, and it too has very high approval ratings.
Recommended Mid-Range and Budget Hotels in Madonna di Campiglio
The family-run 3-star Hotel Alpina is in a quiet area about 50 metres from the Miramonti Chairlift. The Garnì Bucaneve (2-stars) is about 450m from the lifts but only about a 5 minute walk into the centre in the evenings. The Garnì Sant’Antonio (3 star, B&B) and the Hotel Garnì La Montanara (3-star) are also very highly rated by previous guests. But there are many others and competition is fierce.
Recommended Apartments and Residences in Madonna di Campiglio
Bonapace Dolomites Apartments (3 stars) and MdC apartments (3 stars) consistently get good reviews. Out of town, the Gaia Wellness Residence is in Mezzana, about 1km from the ski lifts at Marilleva, has wellness facilities and a pool and is a good value option for those with a car.
