Accommodation in Klostertal is moderately priced and represents good value for money for those looking to stay in a quiet traditioanl village, with good skiing nearby at Sonnenkopf and relatively easy access (by car bus or train) to the other Arlberg ski resorts nearby.
Klostertal is small, with less than 600 beds, about half of which are available on either a bed and breakfast or half-board basis in about 25 small, family-owned hotels and pensions. The rest are in self-catering apartments or privately owned properties in Klosterle, Wald, Langen and Danofen. The hotels are all graded 3-star or below, so if you’re looking for 4-star comfort you should try neighbouring Stuben. (And if you want 5 star luxury, try Lech-Zurs or St Anton.)
There is very little accommodation that’s within walking distance of the Sonnenkopf lift but two notable exceptions are the 3-star Hotel Garni Stockinger and the 3-star Gasthof Spullersee – both are about 500m or 5 mins walk to the lift. And as the Sonnenkopf lift is also the bus stop for the Stuben lift, this makes them ideally located for keen skiers and boarders. The Haus Frainer single room apartment is about 600m (650 yards) of the lift and bus stop for those wanting a self-catering option within walking distance.
The accommodation finder below includes a map fuction so you can check exact locations. Because Wald and Danofen are really just hamlets, some of the accommodation options in these villages/hamlets give their address as Klosterle.
