UK tour operator Neilson offers hotel packages that include flights from the UK, transfers to the resort and accommodation on a half-board basis. The hotels include the famous and luxurious four-star Kramerwirt, and you can choose whether to stay in the main hotel or in a slightly cheaper annex. There is also a good value chalet-hotel, the Ferein, with less choice of meals and meal times but more opportunities to meet fellow guests. Check availability and prices here.
The 4 star Gutshof Zillertal is near the centre of town, equidistant from almost all the lifts, and the hotel operates a shuttle in the morning to the Ahornbahn and Penkenbahn cable cars. The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, a suana and a solarium.
The 4 star Hotel Edenlehen is in a quiet area on the edge of Mayrhofen, but is only a a 5-minute walk to the Penkenbahn cable car, and only a 10 minute walk into the centre. But if that sounds too far, don’t worry – it also runs free shuttle service for its guests.
There are also plenty of mid-range hotels, guest houses and self-catering apartments (including ‘ApartHotels’ in modern complexes with saunas and swimming pools for their residents’ use, as well as simpler ones).
