Accommodation in St Gervais

St Gervais itself specialises in good value 3-star and 2-star hotels, but there are luxury options and plenty of self-catered apartments and chalets. The nearby village of Saint Nicolas de Véroce has the smartest hotel. You can either stay up the mountain in Le Bettex, or down in the town, which is better if you want to use the rack-and-pinion railway to ski in Les Houches or drive to other Evasion Mont Blanc ski resorts.

Hotels and Apartments in St Gervais and Le Bettex

The highly-rated Armancette Hôtel, Chalets & Spa offers genuine 5-star luxury just down the road from Saint Gervais in rural Saint Nicolas de Véroce, and is close to the Chef-Lieu lift, so has quick access to the ski area, if you can tear yourself away from its swimming pool, spa, sauna and restaurant. The hotel also has three ski-in and ski-out chalets and a ski lift at Plateau de la Croix.

Just one notch down from this, in price and luxury, is the highly-rated, 4-star Sowell Hotels Mont Blanc & Spa, which is located in central St Gervais near the lift going up to Le Bettex. The Ferme de Cupelein is on the edge of town, but not too far from the lift. The Coeur des Neiges (3 stars), Hotel Val Joly (2 stars) and La Chaumiere are all highly regarded by previous guests. And if you can’t decide between a self-catered apartment or a hotel, there are several hybrid ApartHotels (sometimes called “Condo-Hotels”).
