Accommodation in Courchevel
Courchevel 1850 has the highest concentration of super luxury hotels of any ski resort in the world. But there is budget accommodation too, particularly in the lower Courchevel villages and down the valley in St Bon. And if you don’t want to stay in a hotel, there are hundreds of chalets and apartments.
Hotels in Courchevel
There are so many luxury hotels (including some in the special ultra-luxury, money-no-object ‘Palace’ category) in Courchevel that any list we give is just the tip of the iceberg. However these luxury hotels currently have ‘superb’ customer rankings and can all be booked online: Hotel La Sivolière (5 star), L’Apogée – an Oetker Collection Hotel (5 star), Le Lana (5 star), Les Suites de la Potinière (5 star), Le Strato (5 star), Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges Courchevel (5 star), Hotel Annapurna (5 star) and Le Chabichou (which is ‘only’ a 4-star hotel but has a famous 2-star Michelin restaurant.)
Across Courchevel, there are also good 3-star hotels, like Les Monts Charvin in 1850, Hotel Edelweiss in Courchevel-Moriond (1650), Hotel les Flocons in Courchevel-Village (1550), Hotel le Montana in Courchevel-le-Tania (1400) and Le Chalet Des Peupliers in Courchevel-le-Praz (1300).
To some people’s surprise, there is a modest 2-star hotel in the middle of Courchevel 1850, the Madame Vacances – Hôtel Courchevel Olympic. On the edge of Courchevel-le-Praz, the 2-star Lodge Les Merisiers consistently gets high ratings from previous guests. It’s quite a long walk from the lifts (about 400m), but there is a ski bus stop nearby.

Apartments in Courchevel
Across all the Courchevel villages there are nearly 200 self-catering apartments to select from, and just like hotels they vary from 5-star rated ski-in, ski-out complexes in Courchevel 1850 like the Residence Le Domaine du Jardin Alpin and smart ‘ApartHotels’ like Résidence Pierre & Vacances Premium Les Chalets du Forum, to much simpler and cheaper offerings. Those on a tight budget should also look at accommodation in the old village of Saint Bon. There are no ski lifts in the village but it’s only a 5-minute bus ride to the lifts at Le Praz and there is a free bus service.
