Westendorf
Visitors to Westendorf have traditionally had a choice of affordable pensions and guesthouses, and while that remains the case, a number of 4-star hotels have opened in Westendorf in recent years, providing a greater range of choice than had previously existed.
Many of Westendorf’s hotels and guesthouses are family run, helping to cultivate a reputation for Westendorf as an authentic and family-friendly Tirolean destination. The large number of hotels in Westendorf mean they are an important part of the village’s make-up, accounting for much of the high street and the majority of the town’s restaurants.
The 4-star Hotel Jakobwirt is arguably Westendorf’s best known and most popular hotel, with a locally crafted interior and naturally furnished rooms. The hotel restaurant prides itself on its use of local produce, while there are a range of spa facilities where guests can unwind in the evening. The 4-star Vital Landhotel Schermer is Westendorf’s largest hotel, meanwhile, with 71 rooms although it has managed to retain a reputation as an attentive family-run hotel.
Hotels such as the Appartment Haus Veronika, Hotel-Garni Austria, Brixentalerhof, Pension Eichenheim and the Gasthof Aschenwald are all good value 3-star options, well located near both the centre of Westendorf and the nearby ski lifts.
