Sonnenkopf Klostertal Ski School

The Klosterltal Ski School has about 10 full-time ski instructors including five fully qualified ski teachers for beginners and intermediate skiers and boarders and 5 higher level ski instructor guides. The office at the Sonnenkopf ski lift station is open from 8:30-9:45 and 15:00-17:30 for booking 3-5 days group classes or private ski lessons in the mornings (10:00-12:00) and afternoons (13:30-15:30).

Stuben Ski School & Guides

If you’re going to be skiing in the main lift-connected Arlberg ski area a lot, having an instructor based in Stuben, and meeting him or her at the Stuben lift at the start of the day can make a lot of sense, but they will also meet you at Sonnenkopf. The Stuben Ski School mountain guides are experts on the off-piste itineraries from Stuben and Sonnenkopf towards Langen, which is virtually midway between the two ski areas. One of the most deservedly popular 1/2 day trips involves getting to Stuben by bus to meet the guide at 9 am, skiing the long off-piste itinerary from the top of the Albona above Stuben to Langen, catching a bus or taxi to Sonnenkopf, then skiing off-piste around Sonnenkopf, before ending with a final descent off the back of Glattingrat.
