Chalet Gertrude Gabl, St Anton am ArlbergThe Chalet Gertrude Gabl is a large and very comfortable chalet located in the Stadl area of St Anton, overlooking the Rendl Mountain and its ski area. With its large sitting room with comfortable sofas, hot tub on the deck and a sauna this quality chalet is very popular. Sleeps 14-16.
The chalet is named after the owner’s mother who was a famous ski racer from the late sixties and early seventies. At the age of 21 she won the Alpine skiing World Cup (1969) but her racing career and life were cut short when she tragically died in an avalanche shortly before her 30th birthday. Guests will find memorabilia from her racing days throughout the chalet, including some lovely old photographs from a golden era of ski racing.
The chalet has been finished in a modern, clean style and has lovely views across the valley towards the Rendl Mountain. The hot tub on the deck is a great place to unwind at the end of the day but the chalet also has a sauna and a relax area.
There are four bedrooms with en-suite bathroom and a further four bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. All are of a generous size and have Austrian twin beds (two single mattresses on a king size double bed frame).
