The 4-star Hotel Talhof is located next to the beginners’ ski slope in Oberau in the heart of the Wildschonau. The Schatzbergbahn ski lift to the Alpbachtal-Wildschonau (“Ski Jewel”) ski area is in Auffach, 5km from Oberau.
Completely renovated and pleasantly furnished in the traditional Tirolean style, the Hotel Talhof is situated next to the small beginners’ slope in the picturesque village of Oberau with mountain views of the Wildschonau and easy access to tobogganing, cross-country skiing and winter hiking and family-friendly skiing nearby at Auffach and Niederau.
Guest accommodation includes a choice of single and double rooms and a range of one, two and three bedroom apartments sleeping 2-7 guests, with separate kitchen, dining and living space. All rooms and apartments have en suite bathrooms, flat screen TV and most have balconies.
The Hotel Talhof is justifiably proud of its cuisine including a la carte menu served in the hotel’s traditional Tirolean restaurant with wood panelled ceiling and an acceptable selection of wines. Special diet menus also available on request.
The spa and wellness facilities including a large indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a steam bath, massage and other wellness treatments provide ample opportunity for relaxation indoors. As well as an outdoor pool in summer.
