Hotel Du Fornet is a really stunning chalet-style boutique hotel in the hamlet of Le Fornet just outside Val d’Isere (about 2km on the ski bus). In the heart of this pretty hamlet, the fully modernised rustic stone chalet with its wooden balconies is about 200m to Le Fornet’s skilifts.

The interiors put a contemporary twist on traditional alpine chalet style, with authentic wood panelling and flooring, Hotel du Fornet has many modern features with down lighters and contemporary furniture in vibrant colours. With more than a nod to alpine-chic, it is refreshing to see such style presented in a 3-star property.

The rooms have been tastefully furnished and decorated with cleanlined wood panelling, crisp white walls and bed linen, emphasised by the natural light streaming through the large windows looking out across the snow laden mountain landscape. Private bathrooms, flat screen TVs and Wi-Fi access throughout.

Continental breakfast is served every morning and for evening dining, there are restaurants and grocery shops nearby for guests to explore the resort’s gastronomic delights. The hotel does offer a charming lounge bar with a log burning stove, wood floors and a cosy alpine atmosphere. Plus this opens up to a sun terrace to make for a great way to finish your day on the slopes, gazing up at the mountain scenery.
