Mount Washington

The best way to get introduced to the Mount Washington ski area is with Mount Washington’s Discover Skiing & Snowboarding all-inclusive ski school and lift pass package.

Ski school day rates include a day pass for the Green Chair and Discovery Lift, all ski rentals as well as a two hour lesson. Evening lessons are also available starting at 5pm Thursdays to Saturdays.

Half Day Group lessons (Adult 13 years+)are a great way to progress your skiing or riding to the next level while leaving plenty of time for exploring the mountain on your own. Lessons are of two hours duration and start at 10am, 1:30pm and 5pm on Thurs-Sat.

The Kokanee Day for Dudes is a program dedicated for adult males over 19 years, which is also the BC legal drinking age. Instructors are expected to conduct high paced, dynamic ski lessons with minimal talk and maximum ski time. The day finishes with an après session and your first beer is included in the cost of the lesson.

For the ladies the snow school offers a Women’s Day Escape, the most popular drop in program in the school. Lessons are designed specifically for women and include a lunch as well as a two hour lesson.

For those looking to advance their skills in the terrain park, specialized instructors offer Intro to Park and Advanced Park programs. You will learn everything from your first spin in the Easy Rider terrain park to advanced tricks in the Stomping Ground Park.

There are a set of comprehensive snow school programs for children aged 4-12 years. Group lessons operate as either half day or full day, with the latter including a healthy snack. Private lessons are available as either one or two hour sessions with a maximum of three people per private group.

Children’s camps are sold over the winter and spring break holidays and are available for Mighty Tots (4-6), All Mountain and Park Camp (7-14). For locals there is a 10 week Freeride program for intermediate to advanced skiers.

The Wee Ski and Ride (2-5) is a parent participation program where you can get tips from an instructor on how to safely progress your child’s ability through guided mileage. Childcare is also available at the Bear’s Den Daycare for children aged 18 months to five years.
