Getting to Revelstoke

Getting to Revelstoke is a challenge, but worth the trip. Revelstoke Mountain Resort in the Selkirk Mountains in the interior of British Columbia, located approximately 3 miles (5km) south east of downtown Revelstoke. The nearest airports are Kelowna and Calgary, and there are transfer and car rental options from both airports.

Nearest Airports to Revelstoke

Revelstoke has its own airport for private and charter aircraft. Apart from this, the closest airport to the resort is Kelowna, about two and a half hours’ drive from Revelstoke. Calgary is the nearest major international airport, and about four and  half hours’ drive away.

Getting to Revelstoke by car from Calgary and other international airports is time consuming, so taking a connecting flight from Calgary, Vancouver and Seattle airports to Kelowna is recommended.

Driving to Revelstoke

The drive along Highway 1 is renowned for having spectacular scenery, with the valleys of the Okanagan from the west and the glaciers of Rogers Pass from the east. Care should be taken driving along the steep switchbacks of Rogers Pass, particularly in challenging weather. The Okanagan Valley west of Revelstoke can close after heavy snowfalls due to avalanches.
