Samoens Ski Schools
The National Ski School, ESF, have offices in Samoens, and nearby Morillon. They now have 95 English-speaking instructors in Samoens. Reservations can be made directly online through their website www.esfsamoens.com We recommend this as it is in English and quite easy to use.
360 International Ski School offer a 10% discount if you stay with Alps Accommodation. They have excellent bilingual instructors for ski-ing and snowboarding in small groups, private lessons or to take you to new areas. All the companies are open for reservations from mid-October until the end of the winter season. Pre-booking is recommended.
Children from the age of three can join the Kindergarten at Samoens, also known as the “Piou Piou”. This is a designated fun area for your child’s first holiday on skis, allowing them to learn the basics in preparation for ski school in a safe environment at Samoens 1600. Children are accepted into the standard French ski School, ESF in Samoens from 31/2 years. Booking is highly recommended, particularly during February. It is also possible for the children to spend half a day in the Creche in the Village of Samoens, and half a day in the “Piou Piou” at 1600, where they can also have lunch provided.
