Getting to Breckenridge is easy. Denver International Airport is about two hours drive away and Eagle County Regional Airport ( sometimes called ‘Eagle-Vail’ or ‘Vail/Eagle’) is about 90 minutes’ drive away. Breckenridge is located in north-central Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, 80 miles (129 km) west of Denver, on Colorado State Highway 9.
Denver International Airport is 104 miles (166 km) to the East of the resort, whilst Eagle County Regional Airport is 72 miles (115km) to the West of Breckenridge. Drive times should be around two hours (Denver) and 90 minutes (Eagle-Vail) assuming good weather. Bad weather can close I-70 at the Eisenhower tunnel which is on the way from Denver Airport. Usually, however, the Colorado Highway Dept. will reopen I-70 reasonably quickly. Only the most severe storms will close I-70 for more than 12-24 hrs.

Public shuttle services
The most efficient shuttle service for getting to Breckenridge from Denver International Airport is provided by Colorado Mountain Express. CME is owned by Vail Resorts (parent company to Breckenridge). Be aware though that CME services can stop at multiple points in other resorts so transfers can take much longer than a private transfer.

Getting to other resorts from Breckenridge
Breckenridge is less than 20 miles (32 km) from Summit County’s other ski resorts-Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin-and 34 miles (55 km) from Vail to the west. Together, all of these (and Beaver Creek) are termed “Vail Resorts” and are linked by an interchangeable lift ticket.
