The brainchild of actor Robert Redford, Sundance Mountain Resort is the marriage of Utah’s world class skiing and sustainable luxury lodging in a rustic, high alpine ambiance.

Sundance Mountain Resort is the lone hotel lodging property at Sundance ski resort and is located in the Sundance Village. The hotel and ski resort mesh together perhaps more seamlessly than any other in North America because they were the product of a single vision. Actor Robert Redford envisioned a different type of ski resort when he founded Sundance Mountain Resort high in the mountains of Utah. Reford designed the complex to blend sustainability with art, nature and community.

However, lest anyone think that Sundance skimped on the creature comforts in the name of environmentalism, the hotel is five-star all the way. The unique decor draws from Sundance’s high alpine setting.  All of the rooms feature rough woods and Native American accents. 

Sundance offers a variety of different room options. Suites include kitchens, living rooms, vaulted ceilings and mountain views.  Standard hotel rooms are also available. Both suites and standard rooms are available in one of three different resort areas: Mandan, River Run and Pines.  Each offers a slightly different take on Sundance’s rustic chic theme.

Sundance also offers an on-site spa and several restaurants. Under the leadership of Executive Chef David Mullen, Sundance has made a practice of blowing away its competition with the quality of its dining options. Not merely great food for a ski resort, the restaurants at Sundance are world class in their own right and should not be missed.
