The Alpenhotel Plattner is the highest hotel in the state of Carinthia, set at 1600m on the slopes of the Gartnerkofel. The modern country house alpine décor makes for a cosy and comfortable atmosphere throughout. It commands a south-west facing position, ensuring that plenty of sun can be caught whilst lounging on the private sun deck.

Only twenty five rooms, which are spacious and tastefully furnished, with pine clad finishes and bay window seating features throughout. Double and Family suites come complete with a sunny south-west facing balcony and all rooms feature an en-suite, satellite TV and wall safe.

The restaurant, with its impressive panoramic views, plays host to a breakfast buffet in the morning followed by a four course evening meal, offering both classic Austrian and Mediterranean cuisine.

The relaxation spa features a steam room, dry sauna, gymnasium, solarium and a recuperation room, decorated from top to toe in an ornate mosaic design.

The hotel also has its own in-house ski and boot hire facility, as well as library and common room.
