The Apres PostHotel in Stuben am Arlberg is the perfect place for a traditional Austrian skiing holiday in a quiet picturesque village, equidistant from Lech-Zurs and St Anton, but cheaper and with easy access to the entire Arlberg ski area.

One of the oldest inns in the Arlberg, the Apres Post hotel and its predecessor the Post Hotel have been welcoming guests to Stuben am Arlberg for more than 500 years. In a commanding position at the beginning of the main street that runs through the village, the Apres Post Hotel is a 4-star hotel with some 3 star accommodation in an annex. It’s close to the ski lift (2-minute walk) with a large sun terrace which is a popular meeting place for lunch when the weather is good. The hotel’s Hannes Schneider bar is a popular apres ski venue as well.

Hotel Post was acquired by the Brändle family in 2002, who have been hoteliers in Stuben since 1957. Friendly and welcoming, and supported by experienced staff, they pride themselves on attention to detail and are receptive to the wishes of their guests.

Hotel Post (58 rooms and 93 beds) offers a range of comfortable accommodation including standard single rooms 17m² or POSTILLION 20m² single, standard 23m² double rooms with Austrian twin beds, larger doubles POSTHORN 25m² and POSTILLION 32m² for 2-4-persons including pull-out couch and POSTILLION 38m² apartments with separate living room. All bedrooms have modern en-suite bathroom with WC, satellite TV and wi-fi.

Guests opting for half board take their breakfast and evening meal in the hotel’s main restaurant with a five course menu for dinner offering a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. If booking bed & breakfast, guests can eat out or enjoy the the reasonably priced à la carte menu (including children’s menu). The  menus include a good choice of traditional Austrian dishes and the food is very well presented. The hotel’s famous wine cellar is well stocked with a good selection of Austrian and international wines available by the bottle. 

While the sun terrace is a popular place in good weather, the other restaurants and bars are all inside.

Hotel Post wellness facilities and swimming pool

The Apres Post wellness area includes a high humidity steam bath, various saunas as well as a rest room, solarium and massage therapy. There is also a small outdoor heated pool with powerful jets in a walled courtyard. The entrance to the pool and its changing rooms and sitting out areas are all inside, so you can swim in comfort in the warm water even in a snow storm.

Hotel Post easy to get to and supremely convenient location

The Brandle skirental  shop is beneath the sun terrace and the ski lift ticket office is just across the road from the hotel. Buses to lech, Zurs and Klosterle/Sonnekopf stop within 30 metres of the hotel. There is nowhere in Stuben that is more conveniently located. Hotel Post is 3km from Langan am Arlberg and the hotel will gladly arrange your transfer from Langan railway station . Getting to Stuben from the nearby airports is also easy and there is ample parking if coming by car.
