Jaegeralpe - Carousel

On the Warth side of Hochtannbergpass – the highest point between Schröcken and Warth in the Bregenzerwald region of Austria – Hotel Jägeralpe guests enjoy an unrivalled location in the middle of an unspoiled mountain landscape. Warth-Schröcken ski area is snow sure between December and May and the ski slopes and Jägeralpe Express chairlift are directly in front of the hotel.

Hotel Jägeralpe Rooms & Suites

Hotel Jägeralpe has 36 rooms and 7 “romantic suites” all of which are non-smoking and well equipped with TV, radio, wireless or DSL internet, telephone, room safe, cosmetic mirror, hair dryer, bath robes and extra towels for the spa area. There are as many as 10 different configurations, nearly all named after local peaks ranging from 15m² single rooms, 23m² standard double rooms, bigger double rooms from 30-39m² and large family suites sleeping 4-6 people, biggest of which is a whopping 64m².

Choose between rooms in the main hotel building, the sports pavilion or the new guest house. Rooms in the main house are attractively decorated with 17th century style furniture hand painted in tasteful colours with warmly contrasting fabrics. All rooms have well equipped bathrooms ensuite and most rooms also have a separate WC and balcony.

The sports pavilion features modern suites for families, all with balcony and some with 2 bathrooms and the new guest house has “romantic suites” with 40m² space, 2.2m long beds, walk-in cupboards, a living room with a romantic tile stove and luxury bathroom.

After a hard day’s on the mountain you can go for a swim the Hotel Jägeralpe’s indoor pool, relax in the saunas and steam bath, top up your tan in the solarium or enjoy a soothing massage from the hotel’s qualified physiotherapist.

Culinary highlights at Hotel Jägeralpe

Good food and drinking are a part of living and Hotel Jägeralpe offers you a choice of three restaurants – a hotel dining room reserved for guests, the traditional Jägers Stube and rustic Sennkuckl restaurants which are also open to non-residents.

The comfortable hotel dining room includes a large buffet area and open cooking area where dishes are cooked in front of the guests. A generous buffet breakfast is served from 8am until 10:30am, dinner from 6pm until 8pm and the hotel restaurant bar stays open until 11:30pm. Oenophiles can learn more about Austrian fine wines at weekly wine tastings with sommelier Verena.

The traditional Jägers Stube restaurant, open from 9am to 9pm, serves regional dishes and pizza and is a popular place for lunch after which you can relax on the sun terrace where there are numerous sun beds. The popular Sennkuchi restaurant and après ski bar serves specialities like Raclette, Cheese Fondue or Meat Fondue and the après ski bar is open late until 1am.

Hochalphütte mountain restaurant

Higher up on mountain between Hochalp and the Karhornlift there’s the hotel’s “Hochalphütte” mountain restaurant for a snack or local specialities such as Bauernbrotschnitte or Käsespätzle – typical homemade pasta mixed with cheese with roasted onions and green salad – eat inside or out on the sun terrace.

Child care at Hotel Jägeralpe

Child care is available from 9:30am until 4:30pm every day except Saturdays and on five evenings per week (Sunday – Thursday) children can have dinner together and play in the soft-play area or watch a film from 6 till 8 p.m.

Skiing in Warth-Schroecken (and Lech-Zurs)

Warth-Schröcken ski area includes 66km of marked slopes served by a modern ski lift system with 16 lifts and no queues! Your electronic room key also acts as your hands free ski lift pass so there’s no queuing at the ski lift office either. Besides skiing and snowboarding on- and off-piste there’s also cross country skiing, winter hiking, snow shoeing and a 700m toboggan run. Although the narrow mountain road between Warth and Leck is closed in winter because of avalanche risk, the two ski areas are now lift connected by the Audenfeldjet ski lift providing easy access to the ski pistes in Lech-Zurs.
