Getting to Adelboden by Rail
From Bern (Belp) airport to Adelboden by bus and train takes 2 hours. Take the bus from Belp airport to the railway station in Bern city centre (30 minutes) then take a train (directly or via Spiez) to Frutigen, then the bus to Adelboden. From Basel airport takes about 3 hours, change at Munsingen and Frutigen.
Total journey time from Zurich airport to Adelboden by rail and bus is 2 hours 50 minutes. Take the Inter City express from Zurich airport to Bern or Spiez, then the Regio Express Lotschberger as far as Frutigen and then the bus from Frutigen to Adelboden. To travel by train and bus from Geneva airport via Bern and Frutigen to Adelboden takes about 3 hours 30 minutes.
It’s just a 2 minute walk from the railway platform at Frutigen to the bus stops outside the station, where the 230 Adelboden bus will be waiting for you. It’s then a scenic 30 minute bus journey from Frutigen to the bus station in Adelboden, which is centrally situated in the main street of the village.
