Deer Valley Resort is just 38 miles (58 km) from Salt Lake International Airport and the transfer time takes around 40 minutes by road by road (off the I-80, exit 145). Together with first-class service on- and off-the-mountain, ease of access is another of Deer Valley’s many attractions.

Nearest Airport to Dear Valley

A major hub for Delta Airlines, Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is served by more than 300 flight connections daily to/from 90 non-stop destinations including non-stop direct flights operated by Delta from Amsterdam, London and Paris.

Alternative carriers flying into SLC include AeroMexico, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Eurowings Discover, Frontier, Jet Blue, KLM, Spirit, Southwest Airlines and United.

Flight times to Salt Lake City from West coast Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Vancouver are 2 hours or less, around 3-4 hours from Mexico, 5 hours from East coast Boston, New York City and Miami, and from Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Paris approximately 11 hours if flying direct.

The airport is located just five miles northwest of downtown Salt Lake City and transfers from Salt Lake City International Airport to Deer Valley by road take about 40 minutes.

Car Hire at Salt Lake City Airport

Renting a car or SUV at the airport may be a good option if you’re confident driving in snowy conditions. Having a car offers added convenience but is not essential. Most Deer Valley guests are content to stay within the luxurious confines of the resort and if wanting to explore the shops, galleries, restaurants and nightlife nearby in historic Park City, the DV Direct service (see below) is an ideal way to get around.

Driving to Deer Valley

The journey from Salt Lake City International Airport to Deer Valley is an easy 45-minute drive on the I-80W freeway, via Salt Lake City to Kimball Junction, then head south on UT-224N to Park City and Deer Valley (part of Park City municipality).

If driving to Deer Valley, bear in mind that Utah receives over 500 inches of snow each winter and winter driving can sometimes be challenging, so we suggest checking the Utah Department of Transport Road Conditions before setting out.

Parking at Deer Valley

When planning a purpose-built ski resort parking is high on the agenda hence all hotels and lodges in Deer Valley Resort have underground parking for guests. The resort also offers complimentary parking for visitors, most of which is located at the Snow Park Lodge base area. As many as five parking lots fill up early on weekends, holidays and peak periods so plan on getting there early (around 8:30 am) to avoid disappointment.

Getting around Deer Valley
