The 4-star superior Hotel Oberstdorf is a quite modern grand alpine timbered chalet with panoramic alpine views here just outside the centre of Oberstdorf in the beautiful Allgäu Alps, so close to the Austrian border you might forget you are still in Germany.

The furnishings and interior décor are quite contemporary and simple rustic in design. All stripped pine, stone and cosy fabrics. The rooms come ensuite and with balconies overlooking the stunning scenery.

Take your happy hour at the bar by the open fireplace, followed by dinner at the restaurant where the cuisine caters for both traditional and international tastes. Some of the specialities made from local produce, are served by the chef straight from the stone ovens. The bread is made fresh from these ovens every day. There is also a buffet of salads to accompany all the meals.

With some extra time out to indulge in the serious art of wellness here, with an impressive selection of eight saunas: there is also a wellness suite where treatments can be booked and an outdoor brine pool. These waters are ideal being tepid and salty, both extremely relaxing and highly therapeutic.
