The Hotel Goldener Greif is a very traditional Tyrolean hotel in the centre of Kitzbühel, family run and offering comfortable 4-star accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, complemented by a cosy bar and wine cellar.

Owned by the Harisch family hotel chain, the Hotel Goldener Greif is a compact 4-star traditional Tyrolean hotel situated right in the heart of old Kitzbühel and next door to the casino. Just a 5-minute walk to the Hannenkahm lift.

Originally an old Kitzbühel coaching inn (a building on this site is mentioned in 1270), the hotel Goldener Greif is presented in true Tyrolean chalet style both in its highly decorated façade and in its rooms and furnishings.  As if to underwrite this ancient heritage, its name means the ‘Golden Griffin’.

Rooms come as standard, superior or junior suite and all are finished in comfortable Tyrolean style with lots of wood in evidence.

Normally let on a B&B basis, an excellent buffet breakfast is included.  A cosy bar with a fireplace and an Austrian wine cellar complement the social ambiance of the hotel.

Wellness facilities at the Goldener Greif include Turkish bath, Finnish sauna and solarium. Massage therapy can be arranged on request. As always in Kitzbühel, depending on the season, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating, golf, tennis, hiking and cycling are all close at hand.
