Ski Lifts in Stubaital
Stubaital ski lifts provide fast and easy access to 3,000m peaks at the main glacier ski area as well as to easier family skiing, winter hiking and night tobogganing lower down the valley.

Stubai Valley Ski Lifts
The Stubai Valley’s modern high-speed lift system includes 26 lifts at the Stubai Glacier, 11 at Schlick 2000, five at Serles, and four at the Elfer ski area.
Stubai Glacier Ski Lifts
At Stubai Glacier, 26 high-speed modern lifts provide fast and easy access to a world of 3,000m peaks. Recent capacity improvements have reduced wait times. The only noticeably busy periods are in November and December, before other ski areas have fully opened; during public holidays like Christmas and Easter; and late in the season, after other ski resorts have closed. The powerful Eisgrat and Gamsgarten gondolas to/from the ski area are used to ascend and descend at the start and end of the day, because the only other way down is via ungroomed ski routes.
Schlick 2000 Ski Lifts
Lower down the valley at Schlick 2000, six-person gondolas and chairlifts dominate, although there are a few older four-person chairs, and a very impressive 10-person gondola on Galtberg.
The Schlick 2000 lifts might not be as awesomely powerful as those on the glacier, but they serve a much smaller and lower ski area. Lift queues are rare: when they do occur, they are usually at the bottom of the ski area on the Kreuzjochbahn 1 lift coming up from Fulpmes on busy weekends and public holidays
Stubaital Ski Bus Service
The ski bus service serves the entire Stubai Valley, with buses departing about every 30 minutes. There are bus stops not just in the major villages (Schonberg, Mieders, Fulpmes and Neustift) but all the way up the valley to the Stubai Glacier lift station. The bus service also connects the four Stubai ski areas: Stubai Glacier, Schlick 2000, Elfer and Serles.
The ski bus is free for Stubai lift pass holders and provides an efficient, reliable way to commute from the villages to the Stubai ski areas. From most accommodations in the valley, it takes 20-40 minutes to reach the Stubai Glacier base station. There’s also free parking at all lift stations.
Stubai Ski Lift Passes
Separate lift passes are available for each of the four Stubai ski areas – Stubaier Gletscherbahn, Schlick 2000, Serlesbahnen and Elferbahnen – and the Stubai Ski Pass, which includes access to all four ski areas in the Stubaital, is available from the end of November until Easter, for stays of 4 days or longer.
Lift passes are free for children under 10 when accompanied by a paying adult, and also include free parking at the lift stations.
